SPECIFICATION EN 1143-1 GRADE III, GRADE IV AND GRADE V
Phoenix Vault Doors have been developed to meet the latest European Standard EN-1143-1 to protect against a wide variety of deadly attack methods.
Each door is secured by two Banking Quality Key Locks to the European Norm EN 1300 Grade A or B standard, both locks are then further protected by hardened steel, anti drill plates with a hardness value of Rockwell 60. An option for greater security is the addition of a Secu B electronic time lock which can be set to remain closed until a pre set time even if the authorised user is present and enters the correct code. An audit trail function is also available which provides a printout of all openings and closing of the lock and door within a pre determined time frame. As an alternative both locks can also be substituted by electronic digital locks EN 1300 B-C-D, conforming to EN 1300 standard to give greater flexibility and security.
The door and frame are manufactured from high grade steel and incorporate an advanced anti penetration integral reinforced concrete monolith to protect against attack from high speed drilling tools, rotary cutting, acetylene and oxygen cutting and explosive attack. The IRC monolith has a protective thickness of 80mm over the front of the locks and the total thickness of the door is 130mm including the moving boltwork.
Four sets of anti-explosive relocking devices (AED) are employed to add even greater protection to the locks and locking mechanism. A system of live AED’s is connected to the locks and a sophisticated glass plate AED covers both the locks and boltwork to complete the defensive strength of the PV range (optional for grade III and standard for grades IV and V).
Also available are emergency doors built to the same high standard and the unique Phoenix vault door emergency which combines an emergency door built into the main vault door for those situations where the conventional emergency door will take up too much wall space from the vault working area.
Lockable grille gates are also an optional extra and can be fitted to allow personnel to carry out work within the vault area, without the need to lock the main vault door.
